About

Our mission

It's easy to get lost online when trying to verify a company. CompAtlas gathers companies with a live website in one place where they can be explored by province, sector and location — helping users find trustworthy options quickly and helping companies get seen. Our team feeds the directory from verifiable public sources rather than by hand: our goal is not advertising but an accurate, up-to-date map.

How do we collect our data?

The directory is compiled automatically from public sources (companies' own websites, open directories, OpenStreetMap and similar). For every record we:

• Check whether the website is live
• Store only corporate, publicly available information
• Filter out personal data (names, personal email addresses, etc.)

We openly document what our crawler collects on the Crawler Transparency page and the full description of our data methodology on the Data Methodology page.

For companies

If your company isn't listed you can have it added; if it is, you can have its details corrected or claim its profile. See the Add / Claim a Company page for details.
