Definition. "Listed company" = a company based in Türkiye, with a website verified as live, offering software or IT services. The gap between the average and the median shows how skewed the distribution is: a few metropolitan areas pull the average up. Full methodology →

Why don't we publish growth rates?
The directory is still expanding its coverage: a rise in the number of companies in a province usually means we're scanning it better, not that new companies were founded there. As long as we can't tell the two apart, saying "the software sector grew X%" would be wrong. Once coverage stabilises, period-over-period comparisons will be published on this page.

Directory statistics are shared under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You can use them freely in news, reports, presentations and academic work; the only condition is to cite the source and the period.

How often is the data updated?
Company discovery runs continuously, and liveness checks are repeated across the whole directory at regular intervals. The values on this page refresh hourly.
Can I use the data in my publication?
Yes. Directory statistics are shared under the CC BY 4.0 licence; simply cite CompAtlas as the source along with the data period.
